ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between certification education on a particular area of reading, which aimed to obtaining a certificate of qualificatio n by completing a course of study, and the professional development of librarians as readin g experts. To obtain this result, reading education training and certification related materi al were investigated and survey was conducted.
