Thus, in battles, the artists tend to focus on soldiers as human beings, who are the subjects and objects. When concentrating on general life, they created artworks that convey the exhausted reality of life by maintaining the viewpoint of humanism. The information about the new world had expanded the most during the Korean War, than any other time period. Moreover, it was when the artworks which could inform the country’s ideology, and that require strong spontaneity were both needed, and also being created in a great deal. Even though the Korean War was in a form of a civil war, the impact was the size of a world war, and even it was seemed to occur due to internal conflicts in Korea, just like the complexity of the war, the variety of artworks could be tracked and classified in a diversity of aspects. This study aims on analyzing the Korean War in the sense of the visual system, by examining the contents of artworks, which were created during the Korean War. Flyers and posters are weapons that directly waged the war, when considering the part of the psychological warfare. Consequently, it is difficult to say that they grasped the nature of the Korean War, or reflected the aspects. Thus, only the artworks, which are known to be created by artists, were considered as the research targets. The war played a major role in creating artworks as military artists, and also recording their own daily lives as pure artists. The purpose of this study is to inquire into the aspects of the war as Koreans’trauma, in terms of the experiences and records of the Korean War.
